Well, I'm a newtimer to the site for the most part, so this is my first story. I'm not too well learned in Parody Verse history, so if I'm stepping on anyone's toes with my story being specifically focussed in Paradopolis University, I appologize ahead of time. Anyway on with this literary farce... -__-

"You're almost nine minutes and forty five seconds late..." Professor Garret Gale, a man looking of his mid forties, standing behind a podium in his quasi-formal teachers attire, distinguished from his fellow teachers by his labcoat and moderately long ponytail; looks up sternly, only to change his demeanor immediately upon seeing the face of the arrival. His countenance brightens as he powers down the projector displaying the proper incision points for a Thyroidal Hysectomy. "Well, to what do I owe this honor? Class, this is an old friend and patient of mine, Joshua Lancaster."

Several heads turn to move attention to the wirey young man dressed in casual clothing, leaning to one side in the frame of the door. The rest still sleeping or doodling in the dimmed setting of the medical-science lab. The professor wraps lightly on his podium to get the attention of the class. "You know, spending your time a dusty old class like this is no way to waste a friday afternoon, class dismissed, I'll postpone the test until next week."

Joshua makes his way down the steps of the stadium seating classroom, waiting till the last remnants of the students have taken their leave to embrace his old friend. "My goodness" The professor exclaims. "Has it already been a year? You certainly have grown taller." Joshua chuckles lightly as he scratches the back of his head in embarassment, nodding appreciatively.

A shrill cry rings out before either can make any more small talk. The doctor's eyes narrow slightly as he reaches into a pocket on his labcoat, grabbing several scalpels like throwing knives. Joshua raises a bandage wrapped hand to his teeth, tearing the cloth on the tips of his fingers to reveal several fresh wounds.

"You can't go in there! He's busy teaching a class!" The door bursts open as a fairly tall and jaw dropping, gorgeous girl runs up to the professor, trailed by a smaller and less attractive girl. The shorter girl immediately looks around, confused by the empty classroom before abruptly turning her attention to the professor.

"I tried to tell her Dr. Gale that you were busy having a test, but she wouldn't listen to me." The girl is quite dishevelled looking, her long, jet black hair tied in a messy bun, as is the same with the rest of her partially tucked in clothing and off centered glasses. The other girl however is brimming with proper grooming, her platinum hair flowing like silk from behind her valkerie mask, her ample chest constricted by a few selectively placed pieces of armor that hide just enough to allow her onto campus with the super-heroin dresscode.

Joshua leans over to whisper to Dr. Gale. "You were right, they do make 'em bigger and better in Paradoplis." Dr. Gale smirks as he nods, but regrettably points out to Joshua, that as is all to often the case with the pretty ones, nothing is ever as good as it seems. The reason for her urgent intrusion, a rather large pice of glass stuck into the palm of her hand. The smaller girl pushes her glasses further up her nose. "She broke a beaker and tried to pick it up with her bare hands."

Joshua and Dr. Gale both utter a low sigh of disappointment and frown as they conclude this girl is suffering from something far more serious than the glass wound, she has a very dangerous case of stupid.

Dr. Gale perks up slightly as he tenderly takes the girl's hand into his own. "Now we'd had better get that removed, and hey, while we're at it, I can give you a full physical. Perhaps even help you with that clumsyness, seeing as how you're so ... over balanced." A resounding crack echoes through the auditorium as the girl storms off leaving the doctor gingerly rubbing his cheek.

The other girl plants her hands on her hips and gives both of the guys a disgusted look. "Oh my, where are my manners? Joshua, this is my teacher aide, Illysia. She's majoring in Electronics dealing with time control technology, but she needs free time and credits, so I let her grade student's homework" Gale notions Joshua closer to whisper under her scrupulous glare. "Quite the looker, eh? She's totally got that Velma appeal, been working this angle since the beginning of the semester." Illysia throws her hands up and walks off in a frustrated fit.

Gale watches intently as she storms off and he hears the door close before resuming his serious attitude. "Well, with all that out of the way, should we get back to what you came here for?" Joshua nods and Gale motions for Joshua to come back into the cryogenics section of the school's facilities. "So Doc, does anyone else know why I'm here?" Gale shakes his head as he takes Joshua's bandaged hand in his and begins to unwrap it, taking a look at the large bruises forming. "How long have you been losing control?" Joshua strokes the stubble, or therefor lack of, on his chin as he thinks back. "About a week and a half now. I've been trying to find you on campus for several days now, but I couldn't find your class room."

The doctor sighs slightly as he forces a weak smile. "There's just no need for old codgers like me any more, with all medical practices being transfered to nano-tech, magic, and general meta-human healing abilities, there's no use for my abilities anymore. My class counts for history credits now..."

Suddenly, the building shakes violently as one of the walls explodes inward, sending rubble and various people sprawling to the floor. A hulking figure emerges through the dust. His body, although covered in the typical spandex garb that is all too common to this city, appears to be composed of a stone material, not unlike the wall he had just punched through. "Doctor Gale!! Where are you?!" The man hollers. Joshua quickly raises his other hand, undoing the bandages and revealing all ten open cuts on his finger tips, pointing them at the man. Gale's posture changes as he puts an arm across Joshua's chest to signify that he is going to deal with the man. He then raises the other hand to push his glasses up to the bridge of his nose, glaring intensely at the, literally, statuesque figure.

"I am Dr. Gale." Gale begins to walk nonchalantly towards the man, smiling and reaching through his various pockets. As he produces several small, clear packets containing a thick red substance, he begins to speak."Clearly from the mannerisms of you movement and speech, your skin may be like stone, but the rest of your body is entirely flesh and bone, so the key to beating you right now is to play off of that."

"What do you mean? I have no weaknesses, I am the Rook, I know the best offense is a good defense, and I am impervious to injury!" Gale sighs as he tears the tops off the packets "Oh please, do shut up..." Before he finishes the last syllable, Gale has already closed half the gap between them in a single dash and before the man can raise his arms to block, gale sprays the red substance into the eyes of Rook. Gale plants a hand on Rooks enourmous shoulders, flipping over him and unveiling a large syringe hidden up his sleeve, stabbing it through the stone exterior into the man's posterior.

The large man begins to stumble slightly, his skin changing appearence and texture as he crashes to his stomach, breathing heavily. Gale steps over the man and kneels before him before the man fades into unconsciousness. "Your defenses might be truly strong, but my suspicions were confirmed when I attacked your eyes. The density of your stone-skin is maintained by constant concentration, once broken, your skin became like loose gravel and it was easy enough to pierce." Gale stands up, planting a foot on the back of the large man. "My name may be Dr. Gale, but that is reserved for patients and company, scum like you can refer to me as..." To Joshua's dismay, Gale begins posturing for the gathering nurses; flashing his perfect smile. "THE SURGERON GENERAL!!"

"What did you do to him Doc?" Joshua winces slightly as he wills the cuts on his fingers closed. "Nothing too bad, just pumped him full of potent enough morphine to put a bull elephant to sleep." Joshua frowns. "But did you have to use such a large needle?" Gale chuckles slightly. "No, but he made me waste the ketchup I stole from the cafeteria for my lunch." Gale and Joshua begin to laugh for a moment before the jovial victory is brought to a sudden close by the sound of a gunshot.

A woman in long red and silver robes is revealed behind Gale as he slumps to the floor, knees hitting the ground first as he doubles over reavealing a small hole in his labcoat which begins absorbing the flowing blood. Her face is hidden by an implaccable porcealin mask with small, oval mirrors in the slots for eyes, but her figure and voice are discernably feminine. "It was a pleasure to finally meet and kill the legendary Surgeon General, but we must be going now. Word to the wise brat, stay out of the Chess Club's affairs." Her tone is almost sickeningly cold and devoid of emotion, causing shivers to run down Joshua's spine. Josh begins to reopen the wounds on his hands. But before he can do anything, she raises her right hand, snapping her middle finger and thumb as a flash of blinding light is emitted from the rings adorning her fingers. "What the hell?" Joshua looks around, but the woman and the large man have completely vanished.

Joshua turns his attention down to Gale, about to place his hands on Gale's shoulder when a hand shoots out from beneath the man's crumpled body to grab his wrist. "Sorry bout that Josh..." Gale begins to stagger up, looking down at his abdomen, the flesh of the wound already reknitting itself. Good thing I heard the hammer click back on the gun, she might have shot me before I could move my vital organs around."

"Doctor Gale!" Gale looks up just in time to see Illysia sprinting down the hall with a look or worry and horror plastered on her face and diving to hug him, causing him to wince in pain and whimper as he tenderly holds his hands over his wound. "I heard all the commotion and got so worried, what happened?" Gale sighs slightly. "Nothing we couldn't handle. But, I am still a little weak, I may need a relaxing sponge bath after this, perhaps yo-" A loud, echoing slap resounds down the various hallways, leaving Dr. Gale with a reddened cheek.

Illysia turns to look at Joshua as she arranges her glasses. "Thank you for saving Dr. Gale's life ... uhm, what was your name again?" Joshua sighs and tells her his name. Illysia looks up in interest. "The Joshua Lancaster? Well, well, It's a pleasure to meet you, Hemophiliac."

End Chapter 1

Well, that's it for now (or possibly forever if people think it sucks). I do appreciate constructive (but if need be, harsh) criticism for my writing, but I would mostly just like any input at all. So feel free to praise or lambaste it if you so desire. Just please review my story. I hope you all liked it, and I would like to continue writing it if enough people enjoyed it.
